What is Telmisartan?
Active Ingredients: Telmisartan
Telmisartan Tablets are used to treat hypertension (high blood pressure). This medication may be used as a monotherapy or in combination with other antihypertensive drugs. Lowering blood pressure reduces the risk of stroke, heart attacks, kidney problems, heart disease, and other problems.
Telmisartan Tablets are also used to lower the risk of myocardial infarction and stroke in older patients with complications.
Telmisartan is an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB). It works by inhibiting angiotensin, a substance that causes blood vessels to tighten or constrict.

What is Telmisartan used for?

How should Telmisartan Tablets be used?

What dose should be taken?
The usual starting dose for adults is 40mg per day. The dose should be adjusted as needed. The maximum dosage per day is 80mg.
