Product Information
General Information:
AdvaCare is a GMP manufacturer of Nystatin tablets.
Nystatin Tablets are a polyene antifungal antibiotic drug used to treat fungal infections of the skin, mouth, vagina, and intestinal tract. It is a medication to which many molds and yeast infections are sensitive, including Candida. Cutaneous, vaginal, mucosal and esophageal Candida infections usually respond well to treatment with nystatin.
Nystatin is intended for the treatment of non-esophageal mucus membrane gastrointestinal candidiasis. It is also often used as prophylaxis in patients who are at risk for fungal infections, such as AIDS patients with a low CD4+ count and patients receiving chemotherapy.
Side Effects:
As with all pharmaceuticals, some unwanted effects can occur from the use of nystatin.
Always consult a doctor or health care professional for medical advice before use. Common nystatin side effects include, but may not be limited to diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, and stomach pain. Seek medical attention if the following develop: allergic reactions, contact dermatitis, and any unusual body reaction or feeling.
For a comprehensive list of all possible effects, consult your doctor. If any symptom persists or gets worse, or you notice any other symptom, then please call your doctor immediately.
