Nimodipine Tablets are a drug used to help prevent brain/neurological damage caused by subarachnoid hemorrhage, which may be associated with a ruptured intracranial aneurysm or head trauma. This medicine is rapidly absorbed and peak concentrations occur within 30 to 90 minutes after oral administration.

Nimodipine is classified as a calcium channel blocker. It works to inhibit the influx of calcium, which prevents smooth muscles from contracting.

For subarachnoid hemorrhage, the usual dose is 60mg, taken every 4 hours. The duration of treatment is 21 days.
