Product Information
General Information:
AdvaCare is a GMP manufacturer of Levonorgestrel tablets.
Levonorgestrel tablets are emergency contraceptive pills intended to prevent pregnancy after a known or suspected contraceptive failure or unprotected intercourse. Levonorgestrel does not protect against sexually transmitted diseases.
Levonorgestrel tablets contain levonorgestrel, an active steroid ingredient. They prevent ovulation or fertilization by altering the tubal transport of sperm and/or ova. They inhibit implantation by altering the endometrium. However, they are not effective once implantation has begun.
To obtain optimal results, the first tablet should be taken as soon as possible within 72 hours of intercourse, and a second pill 12 hours later. The medication is more effective the sooner they are taken after sexual intercourse.
Side Effects:
As with all pharmaceuticals, some unwanted effects can occur from the use of levonorgestrel tablets. Always consult a doctor or health care professional for medical advice before use. Common side effects include, but may not be limited to nausea, abdominal pain, fatigue, headache, irregular menstrual bleeding, dizziness, breast tenderness, vomiting, and diarrhea.
For a comprehensive list of all possible effects, consult your doctor. If any symptom persists or gets worse, or you notice any other symptom, then please call your doctor immediately.
