How is Ganciclovir Eye Gel used?

This medication has been manufactured as a sterile ophthalmic gel, which is intended for topical administration directly to the eye.

Apply 1 drop to the afflicted eye every 3 hours while awake. Continue until the ulcer heals, and then apply 1 drop, 3 times per day for 1 week.
