        Product Information

        General Information:
AdvaCare is a GMP manufacturer of Dapsone tablets.

Dapsone tablets (diamino-diphenyl sulfone) are an antibacterial most commonly used in combination with rifampicin and clofazimine in a multidrug therapy (MDT) for the treatment of Mycobacterium leprae infections (leprosy). It is also the second-line treatment for prophylaxis (prevention) against Pneumocystis pneumonia (PCP) caused by Pneumocystis jirovecii (formerly P. carinii) in HIV patients in whom CD4 counts are below 200/mm3. Dapsone is an odorless white to creamy-white crystalline powder with a slightly bitter taste, used in combination with pyrimethamine in the treatment of malaria.

Take Dapsone tablets by mouth with or without food, usually once daily or as directed by your doctor. Ask your doctor to start with a low dosage and then increase it if necessary. Dapsone tablet should be stored in a well-closed, light-resistant container, preferably at a temperature between 15 degrees C and 30 degrees C.

        Side Effects:
As with all pharmaceuticals, some unwanted effects can occur from the use of dapsone tablets. Always consult a doctor or health care professional for medical advice before use. Common side effects include, but may not be limited to abdominal pain, difficulty breathing, unusual tiredness, headache and muscle weakness.
