Product Information

General Information:
AdvaCare is a GMP manufacturer of Cefixime + Ofloxacin Tablets.

Cefixime is a potent antibiotic; it belongs to the cephalosporin group.

It acts by interfering with the formation of bacterial cell walls. This action destroys the bonds that hold bacterial cell walls and this allows holes to appear in the cell walls. Holes in the cell walls kill the bacteria.

Ofloxacin is an antibiotic belonging to the quinolone family. It inhibits a bacterial enzyme involved in repairing and replicating the genetic material (DNA) of bacteria.

When this enzyme is inhibited, the organism can’t reproduce or repair themselves and this subsequently kills the bacteria and clears up the infection.

Combination of cefixime and ofloxacin offers a strong synergism and this medication kills/clears up a wide variety of different types of bacteria.

Cefixime + ofloxacin tablets are metabolized in the hepatic system. Cefixime is excreted in urine while ofloxacin is excreted in the urine and feces.
