AdvaCare is a GMP manufacturer of Berberine HCL tablets.
Berberine hydrochloride tablets are an alkaloid, derivated from berberis. It is found in several plants, including goldthread, Oregon grape, and tree turmeric. It is taken for heart failure. Berberine reduces blood sugar levels in people with diabetes. It can also lower cholesterol levels in people with high cholesterol. Berberine hydrochloride tablets can also cause weight loss. It has been used historically in Chinese medicine to treat these various ailments. Other health benefits may include depression, cancer, anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidant, infections, reduce fat build-up in the liver, and reduce the risk of death in heart failure patients.
Berberine is ingested and transported into the bloodstream, where it binds to the bodys cells. It targets different parts of the cell and changes their function. Specifically, it binds to an AMP-activated protein kinase which plays a major role in regulating metabolism.
