How should Ambroxol HCL Syrup be used?

This medication has been manufactured as a liquid, which is intended to be administered orally.

What dose should be taken?

• For children over 5 years of age, the usual dose is 5ml, given 2-3 times per day.
• For children from 2 to 5 years of age, the usual dose is 2.5ml, given 3 times per day.
• For children up to 2 years of age, the usual dose is 2.5ml, given twice per day.
• For adults, the usual dose of Ambroxol is 30-120mg, taken in 2-3 divided doses.

As with all pharmaceuticals, some unwanted effects can occur from the use of Ambroxol HCL Syrup.

Common side effects include, but may not be limited to: • mild gastrointestinal effects
