Product Information

General Information:
AdvaCare is a GMP manufacturer of Levamisole granules.

Levamisole is an anthelmintic belonging to imidazothiazoles. It is pure L isomer and overwhelmingly preferred to tetramisole. Levamisole is highly effective against adult roundworms and gastrointestinal, including Cooperia spp, Haemonchus spp, Ostertagia spp, respiratory roundworms such as Dictyocaulus spp, and more. Levamisole can also treat arrested larvae such as Ostertagia spp and certain eyeworms such as Thelazie spp.

Levamisole granules are soluble in water. They are quickly absorbed into the bloodstream and distributed across the body. Levamisole is heavily used in livestock such as cattle, sheep, goats, and pigs, and moderately in dogs and cats. It is little used on horses.

Side Effects:
As with all veterinary medicine, some unwanted effects can occur from the use of levamisole granules. Always consult a veterinary physician or animal care specialist for medical advice before use.

Side effects include but are not limited to diarrhea, bradycardia, hypothermia, and depression.

For a comprehensive list of all possible effects, consult a veterinary physician.

If any symptom persists or gets worse, or you notice any other symptom, then please seek veterinary medical treatment immediately.

Additional Information

Always consult a veterinary physician or animal care specialist before using levamisole.

If the condition does not improve or becomes worse, then call a veterinary physician or animal care specialist.

Refer to an animal care specialist for guidelines on dosage. Do not exceed what they advise, and complete the full treatment, as stopping early can result in a recurrence or a worsening of the problem.

Levamisole is not effective against flukes, tapeworms, or external parasites. There is no residual effect, so will not protect the host animal from future infestations.

Consult with an animal care specialist about any other medications that are being taken by the animal, and their medical history, before their treatment with levamisole granules.
