Product Information

General Information:
AdvaCare is a GMP manufacturer of Doxycycline soluble powders.

Doxycycline Soluble Powder is a broad-spectrum antibiotic. It is a tetracycline used to fight bacterial infections such as leptospirosis, toxoplasmosis, psittacosis, and tick-borne diseases such as Lyme disease and Rocky Mountain spotted fever. It does so by binding to ribosomes in the bacteria and inhibiting protein synthesis so the bacteria cannot reproduce.

Doxycycline binds to the ribosomes of bacteria and inhibits protein synthesis so that the bacteria cannot reproduce. This process is not very rapid and so Doxycycline is generally used as a long-term treatment.

Use caution when administering to young animals, pregnant or lactating animals, or animals with liver disease. Do not brush the animal’s teeth within 2 weeks of treatment.

Side Effects:
As with all veterinary medicine, some unwanted effects can occur from the use of doxycycline soluble powder. Always consult a veterinary physician or animal care specialist for medical advice before use.

Side effects include but are not limited to nausea, vomiting, swallowing difficulties, loss of appetite, drowsiness.

For a comprehensive list of all possible effects, consult a veterinary physician.

If any symptom persists or gets worse, or you notice any other symptom, then please seek veterinary medical treatment immediately.

Additional Information

Always consult a veterinary physician or animal care specialist before using doxycycline.

If the condition does not improve or becomes worse, then call a veterinary physician or animal care specialist.

Refer to an animal care specialist for guidelines on dosage. Do not exceed what they advise, and complete the full treatment, as stopping early can result in a recurrence or a worsening of the problem.

Doxycycline should not be used by animals allergic to tetracycline antibiotics. Do not use in pregnant, nursing, or growing animals. Use with caution for animals with liver or kidney issues. Doxycycline is not affected by food.

Consult with an animal care specialist about any other medications that are being taken by the animal, and their medical history, before their treatment with doxycycline soluble powder.
