Product Information

General Information:
AdvaCare is a GMP manufacturer of Ofloxacin soluble powders.

Ofloxacin Soluble Powder is a broad spectrum fluoroquinolone antibiotic that treats bacterial eye infections including organisms such as staphylococcus, mycoplasma, chlamydia, and Pseudomonas. Ofloxacin treats infections in the eye, conjunctiva, and eyelids. It can also treat pneumonia, cellulitis, urinary tract infections, and plague. Ofloxacin works by stopping the bacteria from growing. In general, fluoroquinolones are well tolerated by the body.

Ofloxacin is only effective for bacterial eye infections, not other types of eye infections such as viral infections. Ofloxacin should be stored at room temperature away from heat and direct sunlight. Ofloxacin is not for human use. Notify your veterinarian if the animal’s condition does not improve.

Side effects include but are not limited to stinging in the eyes, tearing, bad taste in mouth, allergic reaction, swelling of tissues around the eye, bacterial resistance, degeneration of the retina in cats.

For a comprehensive list of all possible effects, consult a veterinary physician.

If any symptom persists or gets worse, or you notice any other symptom, then please seek veterinary medical treatment immediately.

Additional Information

Always consult a veterinary physician or animal care specialist before using ofloxacin.

If the condition does not improve or becomes worse, then call a veterinary physician or animal care specialist.

Refer to an animal care specialist for guidelines on dosage. Do not exceed what they advise, and complete the full treatment, as stopping early can result in a recurrence or a worsening of the problem.

Consult with an animal care specialist about any other medications that are being taken by the animal, and their medical history, before their treatment with ofloxacin soluble powders.
