Product Information

General Information:
AdvaCare is a GMP manufacturer of Avermectin premixes.

Avermectin Premix is a systemic and contact broad-spectrum ectoparasiticide and endoparasiticides. It treats gastrointestinal and pulmonary roundworms, lice, mites, horn flies, screwworm flies, botflies, warble flies, and more. Effectiveness depends on dosage. Avermectin is not applicable to treat or tapeworms or flukes or fleas and ticks on pets.

After an oral administration, peak levels of Avermectin are reached between 12 and 36 hours after the treatment.

Avermectin premixes act as an agonist of gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) neurotransmitters in nerve cells and bind to glutamate-gated chloride channels, blocking the transmission of neuronal signals of parasites which paralyze and expel or starve the parasite. It also reduces reproduction of the parasite.

Side Effects:
As with all veterinary medicine, some unwanted effects can occur from the use of Avermectin. Always consult a veterinary physician or animal care specialist for medical advice before use.

For a comprehensive list of all possible effects, consult a veterinary physician.

If any symptom persists or gets worse, or you notice any other symptom, then please seek veterinary medical treatment immediately.

Additional Information

Always consult a veterinary physician or animal care specialist before using Avermectin.

If the condition does not improve or becomes worse, then call a veterinary physician or animal care specialist.

Dogs of some breeds cannot tolerate Avermectin. Accurate dosage must be taken into consideration.

Refer to an animal care specialist for guidelines on dosage. Do not exceed what they advise, and complete the full treatment, as stopping early can result in a recurrence or a worsening of the problem.
