Product Information

General Information:
AdvaCare is a GMP manufacturer of Ammonium Salt oral solutions.

Ammonium Salt Oral Solution acidifies your pet’s urine. This may help destroy certain kinds of bladder stones or help promote some toxins needed to be expelled in the urine. Ammonium chloride may also be used in conjunction with antibiotics to make them more effective.

The kidney uses the ammonium in this drug as opposed to the sodium it typically uses, turning it into urea, H+, and Cl-, which leads to acidification of the urine.

It is important to note that AdvaCare’s ammonium salt oral solution is for veterinary purposes only, and while there are types available for human use, you should only use the kind that has been prescribed by a veterinary doctor or animal care specialist for an animal.

Side Effects:
Ammonium chloride may result in acidification of the blood, hyperventilation, heart arrhythmias, depression, seizures, coma, death, and vomiting.

For a comprehensive list of all possible effects, consult a veterinary physician. If any symptom persists or gets worse, or you notice any other symptom, then please seek veterinary medical treatment immediately.

Additional Information

Always consult a veterinary physician or animal care specialist before using ammonium salt oral solution. If the condition does not improve or becomes worse, then call a veterinary physician or animal care specialist.

Refer to an animal care specialist for guidelines on dosage. Do not exceed what they advise, and complete the full treatment, as stopping early can result in a recurrence or a worsening of the problem.

Ammonium chloride may react with aminoglycoside antibiotics, erythromycin, methenamine, nitrofurantoin, oxytetracycline, penicillin G, quinidine, and tetracycline. So consult with an animal care specialist about any other medications that are being taken by the animal, and their medical history, before their treatment with ammonium salt oral solution.
