Product Information

General Information:
AdvaCare is a GMP manufacturer of Tylosin injections.

Tylosin injection is a macrolide antibiotic with a bacteriostatic action against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria like Campylobacter, Mycoplasma, Pasteurella, Staphylococcus, Streptococcus, and Treponema spp.

It is used in the treatment of Gastrointestinal and respiratory infections caused by tylosin sensitive micro-organisms, like Campylobacter, Mycoplasma, Pasteurella, Staphylococcus, Streptococcus and Treponema spp. in calves, cattle, goats, sheep, and swine.

Side Effects:
As with all veterinary medicine, some unwanted effects can occur from the use of tylosin injections. Always consult a veterinary physician or animal care specialist for medical advice before use.

Common side effects include: diarrhea, epigastric pain, and skin sensitization. Rarely, a transient reaction along with swelling may occur at the injection site which recedes without further treatment.

For a comprehensive list of all possible effects, consult a veterinary physician. If any symptom persists or gets worse, or you notice any other symptom, then please seek veterinary medical treatment immediately.

Additional Information

Always consult a veterinary physician or animal care specialist before using tylosin injections.

Usual dosage is as follows: 1mg of tylosin per 20kg body weight in sheep, cattle, and swine (intravenously & subcutaneously). Tylosin injections shouldn’t be administered if any hypersensitivity is discovered.

Refer to an animal care specialist for guidelines on dosage. Do not exceed what they advise, and complete the full treatment, as stopping early can result in a recurrence or worsening of the problem.
