Product Information

General Information:
AdvaCare is a GMP manufacturer of Lincomycin HCL liquid injections.

Lincomycin HCL Injection is a bacteriostatic narrow spectrum antibiotic of the lincosamide group that is used in infections caused by anaerobic bacteria and by sensitive Gram-positive aerobic bacteria, especially Staphylococcus spp and Streptococcus spp. Lincomycin is used in the treatment of osteomyelitis because of its excellent penetration into bone tissues.

Lincomycin liquid injection is indicated for the treatment of infectious forms of arthritis caused by organisms that are sensitive to its activity. This included most of the organisms responsible for the various infectious arthritides in swine, such as staphylococci, streptococci, erysipelothrix and Mycoplasma spp. It is also indicated for the treatment of mycoplasma pneumonia.

It is important to note that AdvaCare’s lincomycin HCl liquid injection is for veterinary purposes only, and altho’ there are similar medications available for human use, you should only use medications prescribed by a veterinary doctor or animal care specialist for an animal.

Side Effects:
As with all veterinary medicine, some unwanted effects can occur from the use of lincomycin HCL. Always consult a veterinary physician or animal care specialist for medical advice before use.

Side effects may occur when there is medication overdose, which may cause loose bowels and vomiting in dogs and cats. In addition, it is seen that certain animals develop loss of appetite once the medication is administered. Severe reaction calls for immediate medical assistance. However, there has not been any instance of pain or inflammation when the drug is injected.

For a comprehensive list of all possible effects, consult a veterinary physician.

If any symptom persists or gets worse, or you notice any other symptom, then please seek veterinary medical treatment immediately.
