Product Information

General Information:
AdvaCare is a GMP manufacturer of Sodium Sulfadimidine liquid injections.

Sodium Sulfadimidine Injection acts usually bactericidal against many Gram-positive and Gram-negative microorganisms, like Corynebacterium, E.coli, Fusobacterium necrophorum, Pasteurella, Salmonella and Streptococcus spp. Sulfadimidine affects bacterial purine synthesis, as a result of which a blockade is accomplished.

It is important to note that AdvaCare’s sodium sulfadimidine is for veterinary purposes only, you should only use the kind that has been prescribed by a veterinary doctor or animal care specialist for an animal.

Side Effects:
As with all veterinary medicine, some unwanted effects can occur from the use of sodium sulfadimidine. Always consult a veterinary physician or animal care specialist for medical advice before use.

Side effects may include agranulocytosis, hemolytic anaemia, and avitaminosis-K after prolonged administration. Prolonged treatment should be avoided, especially in young stock.

Crystalluria may occur, particularly when urinary pH is low. Ensure adequate water intake during treatment.

Occasional local tissue reactions may occur following subcutaneous injection

For a comprehensive list of all possible effects, consult a veterinary physician.

If any symptom persists or gets worse, or you notice any other symptom, then please seek veterinary medical treatment immediately.
