There is little evidence with regards to the use of griseofulvin tablets during pregnancy or breast feeding, and so consult your doctor or health care professional before taking griseofulvin tablets.
Refer to your doctor or pharmacist for guidelines on dosage. Do not exceed what they advise. Usual dose for adults to treat fungus infections of the feet and nails is: 500mg every 12 hours. For children, the usual dose is 5mg/kg of body weight every 12 hours. To treat fungus infections of the scalp, skin and groin, typical dose for adults is 250mg every 12 hours or 500mg once a day. To treat children is usually 5mg/kg of body weight every 12 hours.
Possible interactions include but are not limited to: desogestrel, drospirenone, ethinyl estradiol, levonorgestrel, and norgestrel. Consult with your doctor about any medications you are taking, before your treatment with griseofulvin tablets.
