Product Information

General Information:
AdvaCare is a GMP manufacturer of Griseofulvin tablets.

Griseofulvin is an antifungal used to treat fungal infections over the body. It can be taken along with medicines applied to the skin for fungal infections. It can treat a number of dermatophytoses (ringworms). It can treat fungal infections of the nails and skin, even when antifungal creams have not worked. It is taken orally.

Griseofulvin was discovered in 1939 from a Penicillium mold and is on the World Organization’s List of Essential Medicines of the most effective and safe medicines in the health system.

Griseofulvin is best absorbed when taken with a high-fat meal. It works by binding to tubulin and interfering with microtubule function, inhibiting mitosis. It binds to keratinin in keratin precursor cells and builds fungal infection resistance in them.
