If your condition does not improve or becomes worse, then call your doctor.
Do NOT use ferrous sulfate if:
- You have iron overload sindrome;
- You receive regular blood transfusions.
Little information is available on the use of ferrous sulfate while breastfeeding. Consult your doctor or health care professional before taking dexamethasone.
Refer to your doctor or pharmacist for guidelines on dosage. Do not exceed what they advise. Usual dose for adults is: take ferrous sulfate on an empty stomach, at least 1 hour before or 2 hours after a meal. Avoid taking antacids or antibiotics within 2 hours before or after.
Some products that may interact with this drug include: antibiotic medicines such as ciprofloxacin, doxycycline, gatifloxacin, levofloxacin, minocycline, sparfloxacin.
