Do NOT use clarithromycin tablet if:
- You are allergic to any ingredient in clarithromycin tablets;
- You have ever had jaundice or liver problems caused by taking clarothromycin;
- You have liver or kidney disease.
Use of clarithromycin tablet during pregnancy or breast feeding is only recommended if the potential benefit outweighs the potential risk to the fetus. Consult your doctor or health care professional before taking clarithromycin tablets.
Refer to your doctor or pharmacist for guidelines on dosage. Do not exceed what they advise.
Usual dose for adults is: 500mg orally every 12 hours for 14 days .
Usual does for children is: 7.5 to 15mg/kg orally twice a day.
