Ethambutol HCL Tablets belong to a type of medicines called anti-tuberculosis medicines. It is used to treat and also prevent tuberculosis, which mainly affects the lungs infectiously.

Side Effects:
As with all pharmaceuticals, some unwanted effects can occur from the use of ethambutol. Always consult a doctor or health care professional for medical advice before use. Common side effects include, but may not be limited to: loss of appetite, indigestion, joint pain, itching or rash, headache, dizziness, vomiting, nausea, stomach pain.

Ethambutol can cause serious vision problems including vision loss that may be permanent. Seek medical attention if the following develop: blurred vision, loss of color vision, trouble focusing, loss of vision in one eye that lasts an hour or longer, pain with eye movement, increased sensitivity of your eyes to light, pain behind eyes, confusion or hallucinations, chest pain or shortness of breath with mild exertion, severe skin reaction, liver problems, less or no urinating, fever, painful mouth sores, skin sores, cold or flu symptoms and trouble breathing.
