Chlorpromazine is a psychiatric medication that belongs to the class of drugs called phenothiazine antipsychotics. This medication is typically used to treat certain mental disorders such as schizophrenia, manic disorder, and severe behavioral problems. Chlorpromazine helps you to think more clearly. It can reduce aggressive behavior and the desire to hurt yourself, or others. It has been shown to decrease hallucinations in some patients. Chlorpromazine works by helping restore the balance of certain natural substances in the brain. Chlorpromazine can also be used to relieve nausea and anxiety.

Side Effects:
As with all pharmaceuticals, some unwanted effects can occur from the use of chlorpromazine. Always consult a doctor or health care professional for medical advice before use. Common side effects include, but may not be limited to drowsiness, dizziness, dry mouth, blurred vision, tiredness, nausea, constipation, weight gain, and trouble sleeping.
