Erythromycin Lactobionate Powder for Injections is a macrolide antibiotic produced by the growth of certain strains of Streptomyces erythreus.

Erythromycin lactobionate is indicated in the treatment of serious infections caused by erythromycin sensitive organisms when the oral route is unsuitable, or when it is necessary to produce high drug serum levels to control severe infections.

Erythromycin lactobionate is labeled for the treatment of respiratory tract infections, mycoplasma pneumonia, skin and skin structure infections, diphtheria, erythrasma, and pelvic inflammatory disease caused by Neisseria gonorrhoeae in patients with penicillin allergy.
