AdvaCare is a GMP manufacturer of Podophyllotoxin creams.
Podophyllotoxin creams are used to treat genital warts and molluscum contagiosum. It is not recommended for HPV infections without external warts. It is a non-alkaloid toxin lignan extracted from the roots and rhizomes of Podophyllum species. A less refined form known as podophyllum resin is also available but has greater side effects.
Podophyllotoxin cream retains a number of medical applications and can be used as a cathartic, purgative, antiviral agent, vesicant, and anthelminthic. Additionally, podophyllotoxin and its derivatives are precursors for anti-tumor agents such as etoposide and teniposid.
As with all pharmaceuticals, some unwanted effects can occur from the use of podophyllotoxin cream. Always consult a doctor or health care professional for medical advice before use.
