Product Information

General Information:
AdvaCare is a GMP manufacturer of Chloramphenicol eye ointments.

Chloramphenicol (for eyes) ointment is used to treat bacterial eye infections. Chloramphenicol is an antibiotic that works by stopping the growth of bacteria.

This medication treats only bacterial eye infections. It will not work for other types of eye infections.

Most cases of infective conjunctivitis clear within a few days without treatment. For more severe infections or for infections which do not clear on their own, an antibiotic eye drop or ointment such as chloramphenicol can be helpful.

Side Effects:
As with all pharmaceuticals some unwanted effects can occur from the use of chloramphenicol (for eyes) ointment. Always consult a doctor or health care professional for medical advice before use.

Common side effects include: temporary blurred vision, burning, stinging, or redness.

Seek medical attention if any adverse effects occur.

For a comprehensive list of all possible effects, consult your doctor.

If any symptom persists or gets worse, or you notice any other symptom, then please call your doctor immediately.
