Indications and Usage
Use nystatin exactly as suggested by your doctor. Do not use in larger or smaller dosages than the prescribed ones.
Do not use nystatin for the treatment of any skin problem if not suggested by your doctor or health care specialist. You cannot use this medication for vaginal yeast infections.
Do not get nystatin in your mouth or eyes. In case it happens, wash with water. Always wash your hands before and after using this medicine.
Do not share it with another person, even if they have the same symptoms as you do.
Administration and Dosage

Shake well before using, and use the provided medication dropper to carefully measure out the dose. Unless your doctor instructs you otherwise, use as follows: place half of the dose in one side of the mouth. Swish it around the mouth, gargle, and swallow or spit out as directed. Keep the liquid in your mouth for as long as possible. Then repeat with the remaining half of the dose in the other side of the mouth. Avoid eating for 5-10 minutes after using this medication.
Use this medication 4 times a day or as directed by your doctor. It may take from several days to several months to complete the therapy. Use this medication regularly in order to get the most benefit from it. Remember to use it at the same times each day. Dosage is based on your medical condition and response to therapy.
Therapy should be continued for 2 to 8 weeks, depending on the nature and severity of the infection.
It is not likely that other drugs you take orally or inject will have an effect on nystatin oral suspension, but many drugs can interact with each other. Inform your doctor about all drugs you take and do not start taking anything before asking his/her opinion.
If you take a larger dose than you should take, tell your doctor, pharmacist or health care specialist immediately even if you don’t feel bad. Bring with you the container and tell them about the amount you took and related timing.
