Ciprofloxacin HCL Lactate eye drops treat bacterial infections as they are a quinolone antibiotic. They do this by stopping the production of proteins needed by bacteria to survive, thus killing sensitive bacteria.

Side Effects:
As with all pharmaceuticals, some unwanted effects can occur from the use of ciprofloxacin HCL lactate eye drops. Always consult a doctor or health care professional for medical advice before use.

Common side effects include, but may not be limited to a bad taste in the mouth, bloodshot eyes, crust on eyes, burning or discomfort in eyes, itchiness, sensitivity to light, feeling as though there is something in the eye. Seek medical attention if the following develop: symptoms of an allergic reaction including rashes, hives, difficulty breathing, tightening of the chest and swelling of the mouth or eyelids, vision changes, white crystals in the eyes.
