- You have a hemoglobin blood cell disorder;
- You have autoimmune hepatitis;
- Severe kidney disease;
- You are also taking didanosine;
- You are pregnant, or if you are a man whose sexual partner is pregnant.
Ribavirin injection can cause birth defects or death in an unborn baby. Do not use this medicine if you are pregnant, or if you are a man and your sexual partner is pregnant. Consult your doctor or health care professional before having ribavirin injection.
Refer to your doctor or pharmacist for guidelines on dosage. Do not exceed what they advise.
Ribavirin injection might interact with azathioprine or medicines to treat HIV or AIDS. Consult with your doctor about any medications you are taking, before your treatment with ribavirin injection.
