There is little evidence with regards to the use of kanamycin during pregnancy or breast feeding, so consult your doctor or health care professional before taking the medication.
Refer to your doctor or pharmacist for guidelines on dosage. Do not exceed what they advise.
For Intramuscular route: usual dose for adults and children is 7.5 mg/kg for 12 hours. If high blood levels are continuously desired, 15mg/kg may be given in equally spited doses every 6 or 8 hours.
For Intravenous Administration: for both adults and children, the dose should not exceed 15mg/kg per day.
