Do NOT use fluconazole if you:
- Are allergic to fluconazole, and to other medicine you have taken to treat fungal infections;
- Are taking astemizole, terfenadine;
- Are taking cisapride;
- Are taking pimozide;
- Are taking erythromycin, an antibiotic for treating infections;
- Are taking quinidine.
Use of fluconazole during pregnancy or breast feeding is cautioned against. Consult your doctor or health care professional before taking it.
Refer to your doctor or pharmacist for guidelines on dosage. Do not exceed what they advise. Usual dose depends on the condition that fluconazole is treating; consult your doctor to decide the right dose.
Possible interactions with fluconazole include clopidogrel. Consult with your doctor about any medications you are taking, before your treatment with fluconazole.
