Do NOT use doxycycline if:
- You are allergic to penicillin or any other forms of antibiotics;
- You have liver or kidney disease, asthma or sulfite allergy, or
- You are taking seizure medication or blood thinners.
Use of doxycycline during pregnancy or breastfeeding should be avoided as it could harm the unborn baby or the nursing babies. Consult your doctor or health care professional before taking doxycycline.
Refer to your doctor or pharmacist for guidelines on dosage. Do not exceed what they advise. The usual dose for adults is: 100mg.
Possible interactions with doxycycline are vitamin A, isotretinoin, alcoholic beverages, and other antibiotics. Consult with your doctor about any medications you are taking, before your treatment with doxycycline.
