Do NOT use clindamycin HCL if:
- You are allergic to clindamycin or lincomycin.
Use of clindamycin HCL during pregnancy is not expected to harm the unborn baby. Clindamycin HCL can pass into breast milk and may harm a nursing baby. Consult your doctor or health care professional before taking clindamycin HCL.
Refer to your doctor or pharmacist for guidelines on dosage. Do not exceed what they advise. The usual dose for adults is: Serious infection: 150 to 300mg orally every 6 hours. More severe infection: 300 to 450mg orally every 6 hours. The usual dose for children is: based on medical condition and weight.
