Fosfomycin calcium is an antibiotic that concentrates in the bladder and the kidney. It can be used to treat uncomplicated urinary tract infection. It can also possibly be used to treat ototoxicity and nephrotoxicity caused by anti-cancer drugs that contain platinum.

Seek medical attention if the following symptoms develop: severe allergic reactions (rash, hives, itching, difficulty breathing, tightness in the chest, swelling of the mouth, face, lips, or tongue, unusual hoarseness), bloody diarrhea; changes in vision, severe diarrhea, severe stomach cramps or pain, vaginal irritation or discharge, yellowing of skin or eyes.
