General Information:
AdvaCare is a GMP manufacturer of Fluconazole capsules.

Fluconazole is a triazole antifungal drug used in the treatment and prevention of superficial and systemic fungal infections. This drug is indicated for the treatment and prophylaxis of fungal infections where other antifungals have failed or are not tolerated. It is also used to prevent fungal infection in people with weak immune systems caused by cancer treatment, bone marrow transplant, or diseases such as AIDS.

Fluconazole is used to treat infections caused by a fungus, which can invade any part of the body including the mouth, throat, esophagus, lungs, bladder, genital area, and the blood.

Side Effects:
As with all pharmaceuticals, some unwanted effects can occur from the use of fluconazole capsule. Always consult a doctor or health care professional for medical advice before use.

Common side effects include, but may not be limited to a headache, stomach discomfort, vomiting, rash, increases in blood tests of liver function and diarrhea. Seek medical attention if the following develop: sudden wheezing, severe skin reactions, itching all over the body.

  • Are taking astemizole, terfenadine;
  • Are taking cisapride;
  • Are taking pimozide;
  • Are taking erythromycin, an antibiotic for treating infections;
  • Are taking quinidine.

Use of fluconazole during pregnancy or breast feeding is cautioned against. Consult your doctor or health care professional before taking it.
Refer to your doctor or pharmacist for guidelines on dosage. Do not exceed what they advise. Usual dose depends on condition that fluconazole is treating; consult your doctor to decide the right dose.
Possible interactions with fluconazole include clopidogrel. Consult with your doctor about any medications you are taking, before your treatment with fluconazole.
