Do NOT use ampicillin + cloxacillin if:
- You are allergic to ampicillin or cloxacillin.
Use of ampicillin and cloxacillin during pregnancy or breast feeding should be avoided. Consult your doctor or health care professional before taking ampicillin + cloxacillin.
Refer to your doctor or pharmacist for guidelines on dosage. Do not exceed what they advise. Usual dose for adults is: Adults: 250-500mg ampicillin and 250-500mg cloxacillin mg every 6 hours. Usual does for children is: Per dose contains ampicillin 125 mg and cloxacillin 125 mg: 1 dose 4 times daily.
Ampicillin+ Cloxacillin might interact with medicine such as: allopurinol, antacids, chloroquine, oral contraceptives, probenecid, tetracycline, warfarin, and phenytoin. Consult with your doctor about any medications you are taking, before your treatment with ampicillin + cloxacillin.
