Do NOT use idarubicin hydrochloride powder for injection if:
- You have pre-existing bone marrow suppression induced by previous drug therapy or radiotherapy.
There is little evidence with regards to the use of idarubicin during pregnancy or breast feeding, and so consult your doctor or health care professional before taking idarubicin hydrochloride powder for injection.
Refer to your doctor or pharmacist for guidelines on dosage. Do not exceed what they advise. Usual dose for adults is 12 mg/m2 daily for 3 days by slow injection with cytarabine.
Idarubicin should not be mixed with other drugs. Consult with your doctor about any medications you are taking, before your treatment with idarubicin hydrochloride powder for injection.
