Cytarabine powder for injection is a chemotherapy agent that belongs to a group of drugs known as antimetabolites and works by interfering with the growth of cancer cells when they absorb it. Cytarabine powder for injection is mainly used in the treatment of hematological malignancies such as acute myeloid leukemia, acute and chronic myelocytic leukemia, meningeal leukemia, erythroleukemia, and non-Hodgkin lymphoma.

Side Effects:
As with all pharmaceuticals, some unwanted effects can occur from the use of cytarabine. Always consult a doctor or health care professional for medical advice before use. Common side effects include, but may not be limited to nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, oral and anal inflammation and fever. Seek medical attention if the following develop: pneumonia, neuritis, sore throat, chest pain, pericarditis, alopecia, dizziness, and pancreatitis.
