Driving or operating machinery should be okay, as it should not cause any symptoms such as dizziness.
Do NOT use irinotecan powder for injection if:
- You are hypersensitive to any component within the powder.
There is little evidence with regards to the use of irinotecan during pregnancy or breast feeding, and so consult your doctor or health care professional before using irinotecan.
Refer to your doctor or pharmacist for guidelines on dosage. Do not exceed what they advise. Usual dose for adults and children depends on the type of cancer, its cycle and other general factors.
The use of irinotecan can reduce the effect of anticonvulsants, and patients taking St. John’s Wort should stop their treatment two weeks before taking an irinotecan powder for injection. Consult with your doctor about any medications you are taking, as well as your medical history, before your treatment with irinotecan powder for injection.
