It is okay to drive or operate machinery whilst taking this medicine.
Do NOT use artemisinin + piperaquine tablets if:
- You are taking any other medicines, especially any of the following: amitriptyline, anti-arrhythmic, other anti-malarial medicines, anti-psychotics, azole antifungals, clomipramine, fluoroquinolone antibiotics, imipramine, or macrolide antibiotics.
- You are using carbamazepine, efavirenz, enzalutamide, hydantoins, mefloquine, evirapine, phenobarbital, primidone, riamycins.
- You are taking hormonal birth control.
Use of artemisinin + piperaquine during pregnancy or breast feeding should be limited. Consult your doctor or health care professional before taking artemisinin + piperaquine tablets.
Refer to your doctor or pharmacist for guidelines on dosage. Do not exceed what they advise. Usual dose for adults is: 4 tablets, twice over 24 hours.
