Lisinopril Tablets are a drug used to treat hypertension (high blood pressure.) This medication is also used to treat heart failure, to reduce the risk of heart attack and stroke, and to improve survival after a heart attack. Lisinopril may be used alone or in combination with other antihypertensive agents.
Lisinopril is an angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor. It works by widening the blood vessels so that blood flows more smoothly. This action allows the heart to function more efficiently.

How should Lisinopril Tablets be used?

What dose should be taken?
The usual dose for adults is 20-40mg, taken once per day. The maximum dose is 80mg per day.
The usual dose for children is 20mg a day.
